Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
Our ivy league tutors charge between $60-70/hour with no additional fees. Our tutors scored in the 99th percentile and went through our training and development program to ensure that they are the best of the best. Discounts are available if you work alongside a friend or refer a friend to any of our sat/act test prep courses.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
We give our students a FREE diagnostic and then give them an overview of our course. After this we are able to build them a personalized program based on their strengths and weaknesses. Once the student has completed a few sessions we build them a mid course and post course study guide for optimal learning. Most importantly we make sure that all of our students are motivated to work towards achieving their highest potential.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
We take every single practice exam in each new book to ensure that we are up to date on the concepts and strategies necessary to excel on the exam. Our internal strategy is also built from thousands of hours of experience so we are able to hyper personalize our programs based on our students current level, time availability, and goal.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I realized that I could use my passion for education to help others excel and enter their dream schools. After helping hundreds of students so far my mission has become to democratize education and make it accessible for everyone.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
Over the years we have worked with almost every single type of student. We've taught some students with zero test prep experience, some that have taken the test multiple times, some that come from large companies because they want a more personalized experience, some with near perfect scores that want to reach perfection, some that have bad scores that want to improve 100-300 points, and everything in between. Standardized SAT and ACT test prep is what we know best.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
One of our students was about to take his SAT and he wasn’t able to continue tutoring due to financial problems. We didn’t want him to lose all the test prep progress he made so we decided to fully subsidize his sat tutoring for two months. Long story short, he improved 280 points and went on to become the first college graduate in his family. This is our favorite project because we made a big impact in their lives and have become lifelong acquaintances with the entire family.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Find someone that can motivate your child and relate to them. Many can teach, but not a lot know how to motivate students to put maximum effort into what they do during their SAT tutoring and ACT tutoring journey. More important, the industry is very unfairly priced. Many tutors charge a ridiculous amount of money per session for every single test prep subject and students don’t realize that there are tutors just as qualified, if not more qualified, for a fraction of the price. That is what our test prep program is all about. We want to democratize test prep tutoring for all students whether they’re trying to do well on a school math test or whether they’re trying to get a good SAT score to get into their dream school.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
1) what is your final goal? 2) how dedicated are you to achieving this goal? 3) what is the time frame for you to achieve this goal and how realistic are your expectations when factoring in the time frame?
