Introduction

.I am a retired anesthesiologist who now works exclusively with students to help them achieve their educational goals. I specialize in ACT and SAT test preparation, which I do one-on-one. In 2021, I prepared over 200 students for these tests, and their overall average score was 32 for the ACT and 1480 for the SAT. My students achieved a 7-10 point increase in scores on the ACT and a 240+ increase on the SAT. I meet with all parents and students for an initial interview at no charge and with no obligation - just to allow the students to meet me and be comfortable with our plan before the start of the actual tutoring. We enjoy watching our clients achieve their goals.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Pricing is flexible and dependent on the individual needs of the students in achieving their stated goals.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I meet with all parents and students for an initial meeting to get acquainted and to answer all questions in person. There is no charge for this initial meeting. If the customer decides to proceed with the tutoring, we then set up a weekly schedule to accommodate the student's needs. We work around all student school commitments, including all extra-curricular obligations.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I am a retired anesthesiologist who majored in Math and biology at Northwestern University before going on to graduate from Medical school at Indiana. I trained in anesthesiology in Ohio and then completed my fellowship training at UCLA School of Medicine. I now work exclusively with students to assist their educational progress. I specialize in test preparation for the ACT and SAT. My students achieve a 7-10 point increase in their ACT scores after working with me, and a 240-260 point increase in their SAT scores.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

i was very fortunate to have outstanding teachers in both primary and secondary school, and they enabled me to achieve all my professional goals. I do this now to give back to others some of the great concepts I learned along the way. This is my way of passing along some of what I was so fortunate to learn to the next generation.

What types of customers have you worked with?

I have worked with all types of students, from students struggling to pass their high school subjects to students at the top of their classes. I also work with many adult students needing to pass exams for license and credentialing.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

i am currently writing two books. I have been at work on these project for over a year.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Meet with the potential provided before making any decision on hiring. If they will not meet with you at no charge to you - do not hire them. If they are professional and confident in their skills as a teacher, they will meet with you to allow you to feel comfortable with them before you make your decision.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

The best question that I am asked is how my students achieve such high scores on the College Entrance Exams. Many parents are referred to me by other parents of students with whom I have worked because of the results their children have achieved.
