Introduction

I offer REMOTE and IN PERSON tutoring. I My students consistently have outstanding results after tutoring with me and I am happy to share references upon request. Teaching and tutoring are our passion. We offer a free consultation to our clients and tutor most academic subjects grades six through college level. We have been tutoring test prep for over ten years with over twenty years of general tutoring experience. We absolutely love tutoring!! Do you need proof reading for your college essay applications? We are here to help and guide you in your quest to gain acceptance. Our work stands out as we are able to draw from our vast experience teaching/tutoring students and we excel at tailoring test prep and academic tutoring to the student's individual learning style. We are adept at utilizing differentiated instruction. We are extremely excited to share that 99% of our students after tutoring for twelve weeks have gained on average at least 200 points on the SAT. For the ACT the results are also remarkable- with gains of 3-4 points on average. We have designed our own strategies for the Science section on the ACT and the Reading and Writing/Language sections for both the ACT and the SAT. Our study guide is tailored to each student and provides an additional layer of understanding to increase students' test scores. One of our students went up two points on the Science section of the ACT after only one hour of tutoring. My associate and I are available to prep you for other tests as well including the SSAT, ISEE, TEAS, Accuplacer and HSAT.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

My process is to have a telephone interview to ask specific questions about the student. If we feel we are a good match, I create a personalized plan.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I read constantly. Always staying abreast of trends in education, and using technology to assist students' learning.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

My Mom was a professional dancer, teacher, and a choreographer. As a young adult I began teaching dance to beginner students. This teaching evolved to academic subjects and the story continues!

What types of customers have you worked with?

I have worked with clients from the Midwest, West, and Eastern parts of the United States. I work with students primarily in grades 6 through college level.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

My most recent standardized test taker gained 200 points after only six sessions of tutoring for the SAT!

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Ask for references, and meet with the tutor to see if the dynamics are there for a great tutoring experience.
