What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We offer structured, transparent pricing based on the type of support your student needs:
• Group math courses (Grades 3–10): $180/month
• Group English courses (Grades 3–10): $100/month
• Private tutoring (Math, English, Bio, Chem, Physics): $230/month for 1x/week or $400/month for 2x/week
• SAT/ACT prep: $300/month for 1x/week or $600/month for 2x/week
We offer a 10% sibling discount and a 5% same-day sign-up discount to help families save when enrolling more than one student or making a prompt decision. There are no hidden fees—our pricing reflects the full value of our structured curriculum, weekly assessments, and ongoing progress reporting. All families pay upfront to secure their spot, but we offer a FULL refund after the first two lessons if you're not satisfied. Payment is required at sign-up as an insurance policy for scheduling and tutor allocation—but your satisfaction comes first.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We start with a live, Zoom consultation to understand your child’s goals and learning needs. After placing them in the best-fit group or private plan, students follow a structured weekly schedule with guided lessons, homework, and progress tracking. The first two sessions are fully refundable if you don’t feel it’s the right fit—no strings attached.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Our tutors are experienced educators, subject specialists, and passionate mentors who bring a deep and diverse background to Spark Learn Tutoring. Collectively, our team has over 200 years of combined teaching experience, working across elementary, middle, and high school classrooms as well as at the college level. Many of our instructors hold advanced degrees in education, mathematics, science, and related fields, including master’s degrees and professional teaching certifications.
We specialize in core academic areas such as Math (from foundational arithmetic to AP Calculus), English (Grades K–12), and all major sciences including Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. Our tutors are skilled in preparing students for academic success and standardized tests like the SAT and ACT. They’ve taught in public schools, private institutions, online programs, and universities, and several have also served in curriculum development and instructional leadership roles.
Beyond credentials, what sets our team apart is their ability to connect with students. Whether a child needs support catching up or is seeking enrichment, they’ll be paired with a tutor who knows how to adapt instruction to meet their individual needs. Our tutors are committed to helping students feel seen, supported, and confident—creating a lasting impact on their academic journey.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
Spark Learn Tutoring was born out of a firsthand understanding of the gaps in today’s education system. Our founder, who recently completed a rigorous college degree, saw a consistent pattern: students entering college—and even high school—without the critical thinking skills, academic confidence, or foundational understanding they needed to succeed. These gaps weren’t due to a lack of intelligence or potential, but a lack of structured, supportive, and personalized instruction. That realization became the driving force behind Spark Learn: to build a program that fills those gaps early, empowers students to take ownership of their learning, and prepares them not just to pass—but to truly thrive.
What types of customers have you worked with?
We’ve supported students from Grades 3 through 12, including those who are behind grade level, those seeking enrichment, and those preparing for competitive exams like the SAT or ACT. We’ve worked with students from public schools, private schools, and homeschool settings. Some come to us with academic anxiety, while others are aiming to get ahead—we tailor every program to fit the student, not the other way around.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
One of the most rewarding projects was working with a group of elementary and middle school students who had previously struggled with focus, confidence, and academic consistency. Over the course of just a few months, we saw significant transformation—not just in grades, but in mindset.
Parents shared how their children went from being discouraged and withdrawn to looking forward to sessions and feeling proud of their progress. One parent noted that Spark Learn “inculcates a hardworking attitude,” while another praised how our instructors “make sure the concept is understood in each class.”
That kind of impact—where students feel supported, challenged, and inspired—is why we do what we do. It’s not just about improving test scores (though we do that too); it’s about helping students feel capable and confident in their own learning journey.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Look for more than just a subject expert. A great tutoring provider offers structure, progress tracking, clear communication with parents, and most importantly, a plan. Be sure your provider can explain how they’ll get your child from where they are to where they need to be—and show you proof along the way.
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
What is my child’s biggest academic challenge right now?
Are we looking for support, enrichment, or test prep?
Would my child do better in a small group or one-on-one setting?
How much time can we commit per week to tutoring?
What kind of results are we hoping to see over the next 3–6 months?
