Introduction

Have you felt unheard or alone in your relationship? Perhaps you’ve tried to express your feelings and emotions and yet you still feel that no one cares. I applaud you for taking the first step toward a healthier journey for yourself and relationship. After meeting my husband and completing pre-martial counseling of my own, I came to realize my passion for helping couples strengthen their emotional and physical bonds came as a natural strength. With experience working with the family unit, I strive to assist families in pursuing new solutions to their problems that ultimately strengthen the family dynamic. My specialization is helping couples through pre-marital guidance, infidelity, and communication/conflict resolution challenges. I utilize both person-centered and evidence-based practices to support those who might need assistance coping with challenges. I treat every client based on their unique needs, experiences, and systemic influence. You can expect a safe, nurturing, and non-judgmental space when you are in a session with me. I will bring my life experiences and education to help you enhance your tools to be the healthiest version of yourself mentally, physically, and spiritually.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
When first approached by a potential client, my greatest desire is make him/her feel comfortable: both with the process and me. I want to answer questions about the first session including what to expect, address concerns about the therapy process, and offer assurance that I am trained to help. Couples meet with me as a couple to help me get to know them, their strengths, and challenges in the relationship. Then I meet with each partner individually to learn about who each person is and how s/he came to be that way so that I can fully support each partner's needs. The next sessions are a deep dive into relationship repair work. I will allow a safe space to share needs, hurts, and joys. Individual clients will begin our work together by stating his/her goals, stating current challenges then uncovering the origin, and starting on a path to personal success. Therapy is not always fun, but it is my belief that your path to self-discovery, personal growth, and self-awareness will be worth it!
