Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
Our pricing is straightforward and flexible. We offer flat design fees and price material sourcing based on the time and resources involved. We’re happy to start with smaller projects and always open to working within your budget and goals.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
Feel free to reach out at info [at] im-perfectbydesign [dot] com to connect directly (preferred). We start with a quick chat to understand your space and goals, then we schedule a free in-home design appointment if necessary. From there, we’ll send a tailored proposal and go from there, simple and collaborative.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
Kelsey studied interior design at RMCAD and has nearly five years of construction experience. PJ has worked in construction since his teens and has managed a variety of residential projects. Together, they bring both creative vision and practical know-how to every job.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
PJ has always worked in construction and has a natural talent for it. Kelsey has loved design since childhood and eventually made the shift from the service industry to pursue it seriously. Together, they built a business around their shared passion for creative, functional spaces.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
We work with all kinds of clients, each with their own style and vision. We keep things laid-back and treat everyone like a friend. We genuinely enjoy working with our clients and often build lasting friendships by the end of the project.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
I’ve been working with a client for the past month helping furnish their new home. They were starting from scratch and were seeking guidance for most of their rooms. To stay within budget, I sourced a mix of Marketplace finds and new pieces to bring their vision to life. We stay in close contact, often talking daily throughout the design process to make sure everything is on track.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Find someone who listens, communicates clearly, and is honest about costs and timelines. Choose a provider you feel comfortable with who respects your home like it is their own.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Before reaching out, think about your budget, your style preferences, and the main goals for your project. Consider any must haves or deal breakers and your timeline. Having a clear idea of these will help everyone better understand your needs and provide accurate pricing and options.
