What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

My murals are usually priced around $30 per square foot, depending on detail. I charge an initial design fee for 2 sketches and modifications. Paint is also charged separately.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

After an initial inquiry via email/website platform, I have a short site visit to see the space, take measurements, and meet with the client to discuss ideas and concepts. After that I will send an initial quote to the client, and once that is approved I will provide a couple of designs for the client.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have a BFA from the University of Illinois, and my artistic experience and history includes 20+ years of creating mosaics, interior and exterior murals, parade floats, large stage backdrops, Styrofoam sculpture, graphic design, stage set design, photography, and custom painted cornhole sets.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I have been painting and creating art since my college days of formal training and then once I moved to Denver I was creating a lot of large scale scenery backdrops, corporate stage sets and parade floats. I am a self-taught mosaic artist perfecting my craft for 25 years as well.

What types of customers have you worked with?

I have worked mostly with clients who wish to have a custom work completed for their home. I have done a few for local/small businesses as well.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

I am fond of my "Psychedelic Jungle Bathroom" because I was able to turn my client's vague ideas into a vibrant, fun unique space. From concept to completion it took about 2 months.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Take a look at their portfolio to ensure their work is of good quality, style and execution.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

--What do I have in mind? --What artistic styles and colors do I prefer? --Am I willing to have an artist in and/or around my house for a long period of time?
