J’s Custom Tile Projects LLC Thank you for taking the time to check out my profile! My name is Jamie Atkins I am the owner of J’s Custom Tile Projects. I’ve been in the trade for ten years. I specialize in: * Shower/tub surround rebuild * Wall tile install * Any tile application can be done If you notice a lot of the other tile companies are flooring tile companies they do not specialize in bathroom builds. 90% of my work is bathroom builds. I started my career in tile with floors. It’s the lowest liability in learning a new trade to start with floors. I wanted to do more and create masterpieces. So I graduated to building bathrooms. Also I do all the plumbing work because I have never met a plumber that pays attention to details like me. The drain/valve need to center the prep work is never done by a plumber but they want to charge an arm and a leg so I knew I had to learn to be a plumber because I know I can do a better job. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

To give an accurate estimate the best way to do that is onsite estimate. I will come to the job take measurements and provide an estimate. I can also get a good idea of what it will cost with speaking with the customer and getting details over the phone if needed.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Meeting with customer and taking a look at the project. Once I understand the needs of the customer I can provide the cost and the timeline to complete the job.

10 years in the trade

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I started with a small company getting hands on training. I’ve been in the trade for the last 10 years

What types of customers have you worked with?

I’ve worked with customers with big projects to small projects. Short time lines to more flexible timelines. Big budgets to small budgets. No job is to small nor to big.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

I take pride in all my work so every job means as much as the last.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

I would say go check credentials. Look at reviews and pictures. Pricing is a big factor, the cheapest is not always the best. If it doesn’t feel right move on to the next one.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

Think about budget- how much you want to spend on install and materials. Design- how you want your tile laid out Timeline- when do you need the work done by Clean up- it can be a messy process sometimes. Demo, dumpster, plastic the little things go along way to help keep clean
