What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My training comes directly from hands-on experience in the field. I started as a helper, learning the ropes from skilled professionals and gaining real-world knowledge on job sites. Over time, I worked my way up to become a professional tile and remodeling installer, handling everything from small repairs to full renovations.
After three years of consistent work and learning, I decided to take the next step and start my own business — G.R.E.A.T Remodeling. Every job I take on reflects what I’ve learned: attention to detail, pride in craftsmanship, and putting the customer first.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I got started in this field by working as a helper for a remodeling crew, where I learned the basics of tile work, demolition, prep, and installation. From the beginning, I enjoyed the process of turning rough spaces into something clean, polished, and brand new.
As I gained more experience, I became a skilled installer and started taking on bigger responsibilities. I realized I had a passion not just for the work, but for seeing clients happy with the final results. That’s what motivated me to launch my own company — G.R.E.A.T Remodeling — so I could bring that same level of care and quality to every project, under my own name.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I’ve worked with a wide range of customers — from homeowners doing their first renovation to real estate investors flipping properties and landlords needing quick, quality updates between tenants.
Whether it’s a full bathroom remodel, a kitchen backsplash, or just freshening up tile floors, I always take the time to understand each customer’s needs and make sure the final result matches their vision.
No matter the size of the job, I treat every project with the same level of care and attention to detail.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
One recent project I’m really proud of was a bathroom remodel where we replaced the old tile with large-format porcelain, added a custom shower niche, and installed a modern vanity with LED lighting. The client wanted something clean, elegant, and functional — and we delivered exactly that.
The project took about 5 days from start to finish, including demolition, prep work, tiling, and finishing touches. What made it special was the transformation — the space went from outdated and dull to something that looked straight out of a magazine. The client was thrilled, and that made the whole experience even better.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Make sure you hire someone who takes pride in their work and pays attention to the small details — especially in tile and remodeling. Ask for photos of past projects, read their reviews, and make sure they explain the process clearly before starting.
Also, don’t be afraid to ask questions about materials, prep work, and timelines. A good contractor won’t rush you — they’ll help you make the best decisions for your space and budget.
At G.R.E.A.T Remodeling, I always aim to give honest advice and deliver high-quality work that lasts — not just a quick fix.
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
Before reaching out, it helps to have a clear idea of a few key things:
• What’s your budget? Even a rough range helps us recommend the right materials and scope.
• What’s your timeline? Do you need the job done quickly, or are you flexible?
• What’s your vision? Do you have photos or examples of the style you like? That makes it easier to get on the same page.
• Are you providing materials, or do you want the contractor to handle that?
• Will the space be in use during the remodel, or will it be empty?
Thinking through these questions ahead of time saves a lot of back-and-forth and helps us give you a more accurate quote and timeline right from the start.
