What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
I often have my clients send pictures of their job to me, and the tile they want to use on their project; once I review the pictures, I give them a close ball park price, if we agree on the price, I then will go out to their house to measure the job, and evaluate it before we make a formal contract.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I was trained by some of the best tile guys in Michigan, I worked as their laborer for over 12 years before I became a master mechanic. I have been in the business for over 24 years.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
through a program offered by the State of Michigan, I started off working for a small contractor, later got a job with the union and worked there for over 12 years under the best master mechanics, doing multi million dollar homes, and large sub divisions.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I work for all types of people, from builders to homeowners, I work with anyone that is honest, willing to pay for high quality work and that needs help with their project.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
I recently received a call from a man that just purchased his first house in Inkster, prior to this he rented for over 35 years; he was on a tight budget, his bathroom was leaking and falling a part. I installed his shower, floor and was $4,000.00 cheaper than one of the companies that was just going to give him a plastic enclosure.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
make sure your contractor comes highly recommended, the cheapest is not always the best, there are many guys out there that cut corners to save a buck. I've done many repairs in my days, because homeowners hired inexperienced guys.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
prioritizing your projects, is this the most important project that needs to take place in your home? can you afford to take on the project? are you willing to do things right?
