Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
One recent project we're especially proud of was a custom master bathroom renovation for a residential client. The job involved installing large-format porcelain tile on the floors and walls, a custom walk-in shower with mosaic accents, and a marble vanity backsplash.
The client had a specific vision, and we worked closely with them to select materials that matched their style and budget. The precision needed for the layout—especially with the mosaics and large tile cuts—made it a rewarding challenge.
The entire project took about three weeks from start to finish, including prep work, waterproofing, installation, and finishing touches. The end result was a sleek, high-end look that the homeowner loved — and so did we. It's projects like these that remind us why we’re passionate about what we do.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
When hiring a tile contractor, it's important to look for a provider who combines craftsmanship, experience, and clear communication. Here are a few tips to help you choose the right professional:
Check References and Reviews – Look for consistent positive feedback and ask for photos of previous projects to get a sense of the quality and style.
Verify Licensing and Insurance – Make sure the contractor is properly licensed and insured to protect yourself and your home.
Ask About Experience – Residential tile work can vary widely in complexity. Be sure the installer has experience with the specific type of tile and layout you want.
Get a Detailed Estimate – A professional will provide a written estimate that includes materials, labor, timeline, and any potential additional costs.
Communicate Clearly – Choose a provider who listens to your vision, answers your questions clearly, and keeps you informed throughout the project. Taking the time to vet your tile installer ensures a smoother experience and long-lasting results you’ll love in your home.
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
Before reaching out to a tile professional, it’s helpful for customers to consider the following questions to ensure a smoother and more successful project:
What is the scope of your project?
Are you tiling a kitchen backsplash, a bathroom floor, a shower, or a whole home? The more specific you are, the easier it is for us to provide accurate guidance and estimates.
What type of tile do you envision?
Think about the material (ceramic, porcelain, natural stone, etc.), color, size, and pattern. If you're unsure, having inspiration photos or a general style in mind can help.
What is your budget?
Knowing your budget range will help the contractor suggest materials and layouts that align with your goals without overspending.
What is your ideal timeline?
Do you have a specific deadline or event in mind? Sharing your timeframe upfront allows professionals to plan accordingly.
Do you have existing issues to address?
Are there concerns like water damage, uneven floors, or old tile removal? Letting the installer know early can help avoid surprises during the job.
Having clear answers to these questions will lead to more productive conversations and help your tile professional create a plan that fits your vision, needs, and home.
