What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
We offer a FREE in-person estimate to fully assess the areas of concern and provide accurate recommendations. Once the estimate is delivered, we’re usually able to schedule your service within the following week getting your project underway without delay.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
Our team is professionally trained, having attended the Schluter Innovations class for advanced tile installation techniques. We also participate in The Grout Doctor® conventions, where franchise owners exchange the latest methods and best practices for effective tile and grout care.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
After seeing the difference high-quality restoration could make, we joined The Grout Doctor® franchise to bring expert care to the Greater Richmond area. Over time, we’ve gained extensive training and experience, and now we’re proud to offer top-notch services backed by industry-leading techniques and products.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
We’ve worked with a wide range of customers, including homeowners looking to restore their tile and grout, property managers maintaining rental units, and business owners needing professional care for their commercial spaces. We’ve also collaborated with real estate agents preparing properties for sale, ensuring that tile and grout are in top condition for potential buyers.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
A recent project the team really enjoyed was a subfloor repair and tile installation in a half bathroom. The subfloor had water damage, so we had to carefully remove the toilet and sink, repair the subfloor, and then lay new tile. Once the flooring was complete, we reinstalled the fixtures for a seamless finish. The entire job took about 3 days and turned out great. The transformation was night and day and the homeowner was thrilled with the result.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
When hiring a provider for tile and grout restoration, it’s important to look for experience, training, and customer reviews. Make sure the company is knowledgeable about the latest products and techniques, and ask if they’re willing to provide an in-person estimate to assess the work. It’s also helpful to find a provider who’s transparent about pricing, any potential fees, and offers warranties or guarantees on their work.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
1. What specific areas need attention? (e.g., kitchen, bathroom, floors, countertops) 2. What’s the current condition of the tile and grout? (e.g., cracks, stains, discoloration) 3. Are there any specific materials or tile styles you prefer? (e.g., ceramic, natural stone) 4. What is your budget and timeline for the project? 5. Do you want any additional services, such as sealing or grout coloring? 6. Is there any furniture or fixtures that need to be moved or protected during the process?
