Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
Piece work by the project at hand.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
I would meet at the project at hand to get measurements and see what needs done. I would email a detailed estimate to the customer. Set up a date to start the project with a set amount of time to complete.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
Things change so much with material and the way things are done that it seems we are always learning even if its something we have done a hundred times before.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
Well my grandfather had close to 100 crews working for him back in the 60s and 70s building houses. I wasn't around then but I always looked up to him. He handed down his knowledge to my father and my father did the same for me.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
Anyone from a college student up to a business man/ woman to retirees. Also commercial businesses small and large. Anyone who needs construction work.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
A very upscale kitchen in Dublin. Everyone that has seen it says it could be right out of a magazine. 4 weeks to complete.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Don't go with the cheapest person to do your project. Find a perfect medium. You don't have to have the most expensive but I wouldn't go with the cheapest either. Someone that takes pride in their work might cost more than someone who is just trying to make a quick dollar. The workmanship will show with someone who takes pride in their work.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
What is your budget? Finish your needs before wants.
