How did you get started doing this type of work?

Tinkering in my own home and making spaces more livable and spruced up. Was also tired of feeling like I was being taken advantage of because I’m a woman.

What types of customers have you worked with?

Furniture assembly to minor repair and refinishing, closet organizers, painting, finish electrical and plumbing work (fixture repair/replace). Caulking and sealing walls, trim, kitchen and bath, concrete and asphalt cracks. Drive, garage, aside wall, siding power washing. Deck repair, refinishing, sealing. Shelving, window dressing, window screening, storm doors. A little bit of everything.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

Recently completed an in-law suite: involves lighting changes, pairing, furniture finishing and moving, cabinet refinishing, hardware, and fixture replacement. The father in law loves his now “bachelor pad.”

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Big companies can do it faster once you can get a booking. Think about your budget and if you know, the complexity of the job. Shop around. Value might not just be the bottom dollar. Know what your top priority is.
