What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

My pricing is based on industry standard rates, from which I have discounted my labor costs. All materials are bought at trade price and such discounts are passed onto the client. Labor payments are payable upon satisfactory completion of the work.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I typically chat with the customer over the phone to discuss the project and to arrange an inspection of the site. I offer advice on any task at hand and provide numerous options to fit in with scope and budget.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have a trade diploma in Horticulture and hardscaping services. I also have over twenty years experience in all aspects of such work.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I enjoy working with my hands outdoors. I also find great reward in client satisfaction.

What types of customers have you worked with?

Over the years I have worked on many projects form large scale commercial and residential, to smaller residential design & build as well as repair work.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

I recently completed a full redesign and installation of a residence. The project included new fencing, planter boxes for vegetables, planter beds for Waterwise (drought tolerant) plants and an extensive paved area for entertainment. The project allowed me to demonstrate many of my skills which delighted the client immensely. It has since grown into a beautiful space that the client is extremely pleased with.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Seek three - four quotes. Consider the providers experience and cooperation with your vision. Ensure that you employ someone who you can trust and that will be available throughout the project to discuss your feelings and be prepared to make changes changes along the way with you.
