Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
We offer competitive, transparent pricing that reflects the high quality of our materials, craftsmanship, and customer service. We provide transparent, detailed proposals and collaborate with each client to align design goals with scope and investment. While we don’t price-match lower-tier providers, we do ensure long-term value through expert design, efficient installation, and lasting results.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
We begin with a discovery call or site visit to understand your goals, property conditions, and preferences. From there, we create a tailored design or scope of work, followed by a clear proposal with timeline and pricing. Once approved, our team handles scheduling, communication, and installation, all with minimal disruption and maximum attention to detail.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
Our team includes licensed irrigators, trained landscape designers, licensed pesticide applicators, and experienced project managers with deep knowledge of plant science, soil health, drainage, and water conservation, all specific to the Central Texas climate. We continually invest in training through national vendors like Hunter, Rainbird, SiteOne, and Horsepower Brands to ensure we’re delivering the highest standard of work with the latest tools and techniques.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
My passion for landscaping started early, I was laying sod and maintaining lawns as a kid, and later worked in landscaping through high school. After building a real estate portfolio and transitioning from fix-and-flip projects to long-term rentals, I saw how much impact well-executed outdoor spaces had on curb appeal and property value. As a locally owned and operated Heroes Lawn Care franchise, we saw a clear need in the Austin market for a team that could combine thoughtful landscape design, technical irrigation knowledge, and professional project management, all under one roof. That’s what inspired me to return to the service industry: to build outdoor environments that are not only beautiful, but built to last.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
We work with homeowners who care deeply about their outdoor space; from full-yard transformations to smart irrigation upgrades to hardscape installs like paver patios, walkways, and retaining walls. Most of our clients are looking for long-term solutions, cohesive designs, and professional execution rather than quick fixes or one-off jobs.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Look for a provider who asks the right questions upfront, offers clear timelines and pricing, and explains not just the “what,” but the “why” behind their recommendations. In this industry, quality varies widely, and the lowest bid often leads to rushed work, poor materials, or short-lived results. A professional team should be licensed, responsive, and focused on the long-term value of your property.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
- What areas of your yard do you want to improve or use differently? - Do you have a general style or vision in mind (modern, native, low-maintenance, etc.)? - What is your ideal budget range? - Are you looking for a full design/build experience or a focused install (sod, patio, irrigation)? Clear answers help us bring the best design and recommendations forward right away.
