Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
I charge for my expertise, I don’t charge $75-150+ just because, I charge because I know what to do, how to do it and when to do it. I know how to solve problems and satisfy customers. I don’t believe in mediocrity. I’m passionate about what I do and I believe everyone should search for what they’re passionate about and continuously evolve in that.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
I figure out what the customer needs or wants. Business is about solving a problem to me. I get information about the project and introduce myself, I ask for pictures or any details needed to complete the job and sometimes need to go to the job site in person to figure out the exact scope of work. I collect a 50% deposit after the customer agrees to the price proposal and collect the other 50% after the customer is satisfied.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I have an electrical and irrigation certification. I have Six Sigma certifications and was a production manager for 3 years so I’m extremely efficient.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I was brought up as a child and taught by a family friend.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I’ve worked with customers that own businesses, customers that sell houses, customers that are celebrities and customers looking to solve a problem. My target market are areas that are affluent neighborhoods in Houston. I love my customers and they usually love my work!

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
We did a hard scape with pavers and a Japanese maple tree in the middle with fig trees and Japanese yews around the property. It took us 5 days and the end result was stellar!

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Make sure your provider knows his stuff, make sure that you have references if it’s a difficult project and good work isn’t cheap and cheap work isn’t good.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
They should consider what they want, when they want it and google the price of their requested job. Customers should expect to pay for whatever they expect to receive. If you don’t understand something you should ask if you intend on purchasing a good or service.
