unfold fold
Our pricing is based on estimates from previous work and is tailored to each project. During the booking process, we’ll finalize the price based on your specific needs. We’re always open to negotiating to ensure you get the best deal possible without compromising on quality. Please note, a travel fee applies for locations more than 25 miles from our base. We aim to keep our pricing flexible, depending on the scope of your project and any additional requirements you may have.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
We always recommend a phone or Zoom call to discuss the details of your project. This helps us understand your vision and specific requirements, ensuring we deliver the best results. However, if you’re more comfortable, messaging through Thumbtack or text works too. We’re flexible and happy to communicate in the way that suits you best!

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Digital Media Arts from San Jose State, with over 10 years of hands-on experience in photography and videography. Throughout my career, I’ve successfully completed 1,000+ projects, ranging from real estate and business content to events and social media marketing. This blend of formal education and extensive practical experience enables me to deliver high-quality results tailored to your needs.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
My love for photography and videography began 10 years ago, with a simple desire to capture the moments that matter. What started as a hobby during high school—taking photos at prom, dances, and graduation—quickly transformed into a lifelong passion. I found myself captivated by the way a single image could freeze a memory in time or how a well-crafted video could tell a powerful story. In those early years, I dedicated myself to learning everything I could. I took on freelance work, volunteered at events, and interned at a media company, editing videos for corporate clients. But my real turning point came when I worked alongside my cousin, a real estate agent. He trusted me to help build his brand, capturing not just homes, but the essence of what made those spaces special for families and buyers. It was then that I realized my talent wasn’t just in the technical side of the job—it was in the stories I could tell through the lens. That realization drove me to start Focus Media, where I channel that same passion into every project. Whether it's the joy in someone’s eyes as they walk through their dream home or the energy of a business thriving in its element, my goal is always to capture the heart of the moment. This is more than a career for me—it's a way of connecting people, places, and emotions through the art of visual storytelling.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I’ve had the pleasure of working with a diverse range of clients, from top-producing real estate agents closing over $10 million in sales each month to local business owners and larger corporations. Some of the businesses I’ve collaborated with include Genius, Artist MIIST, Kevin Noodle House, Compass, EXP, Side Inc, Sonatus Inc, and POPMART. My experience extends beyond real estate and corporate projects—I’ve also worked with countless families to capture birthdays, baby showers, and personal milestones. Whether it’s a small local event or a large-scale corporate gathering, I’ve been able to adapt and deliver exceptional results, ensuring each moment is captured perfectly.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
One of the recent projects I’m really proud of was covering a corporate gala event for a tech company in the Bay Area. The event was a celebration of their milestone achievements, with over 300 attendees, keynote speakers, live performances, and an awards ceremony. The company wanted dynamic event coverage that captured not just the formal moments, but also the excitement and energy of the night. We arrived early to set up, making sure to capture detailed shots of the venue, the décor, and the behind-the-scenes preparations. Throughout the evening, we focused on capturing candid moments of the guests, the live performances, and speeches, as well as providing video snippets for their social media team to post in real-time. The entire project, from initial planning to the final edits, took about two weeks. The highlight reel we produced was a hit, and the client was thrilled with the coverage—it helped them showcase their brand and culture in a way that resonated with their audience. It was one of those projects where everything came together perfectly, and it’s always satisfying to deliver results that exceed expectations.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
It’s always helpful to come with an idea of what you’re looking for and any preferences you have, so we can provide an accurate quote tailored to your needs. While I understand that budget is a big factor in choosing a provider, it’s important to maintain clear communication. Reaching out to multiple providers and not following up can be time-consuming for both parties and impacts our ability to manage inquiries efficiently. Additionally, consider looking beyond just price—experience, portfolio, and professionalism play a huge role in the final product. The cheapest option isn’t always the best value. Providers with proven results will often save you time and stress in the long run by delivering high-quality work that meets your needs the first time around. To ensure the best results, it’s always beneficial to share your vision clearly. Providing examples of styles you like, any specific requests, and your timeline upfront helps us better understand how to bring your project to life. At the end of the day, my goal is to not only meet but exceed your expectations, and I am committed to building strong, lasting relationships with my clients to ensure we achieve exactly that. We're here to help you achieve the best outcome, and clear communication ensures we can focus on delivering the top-notch service your project deserves.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Before reaching out, it’s important to consider a few key questions to ensure that both you and the professional are on the same page: What is the goal of your project? – Think about what you want to achieve with your photos or videos. Is it for marketing, capturing an event, or showcasing a property? Being clear about your end goal helps us tailor our services to your needs. What’s your budget? – Have a rough idea of your budget. This will help us recommend services that fit within your range and suggest options that offer the best value for your money. What’s your timeline? – When do you need the project completed, and are there any important deadlines? Having this in mind ensures we can schedule appropriately and deliver on time. What style or look do you prefer? – If you’ve seen examples of photography or videography you love, sharing those references helps us better understand your vision and ensures the final product aligns with your preferences. What are your key priorities? – Are you looking for fast turnaround times, specific editing styles, or certain shots you must have? Knowing what’s most important to you ensures we focus on delivering exactly what you need. By thinking through these questions, you'll have a clearer idea of your project and will help us provide a quote and approach that’s perfectly suited to your goals.
