Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
We charge based on a day rate, pricing does not change based on how short or how long we are needed to film. The reason for this is we don’t double book our clients to make sure you have our time and attention for as long as your project requires it.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
We start with a creative meeting to discuss the vision and story for the project. Then we create the storyboard and shot list. We film and then I edit the footage. We typically deliver within 30-60 days based on the project complexity. We require a 50% deposit upfront, balance is due before editing begins, typically 30 days prior to filming.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
Right out of high school I went to UMass Lowell and majored in Sound Recording Technology which I have found very useful in my career as a filmmaker. I have my bachelor's degree in Business Administration and I am currently working on finishing my MBA from SNHU. As far as video training is concerned, I sort of just picked it up. I am a fast learner, but also filmmaker training courses from full time filmmaker, YouTube channels, Masterclasses, and real world on the job experience!

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I started making videos for my day job and realized I loved it. Fast forward I invested a ton in gear and the demand came in like a landslide! In 2022 we've won 5 awards for our video production!

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
Weddings, corporate, small business, bands, documentarians, filmmakers, celebrity chefs, etc.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
We recently produced our 2nd TV commercial. It only took one day to film and a couple of weeks to edit and go over revisions. I’m very excited to say our work is now being broadcast on WMUR in New Hampshire!

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Make sure your provider has a drone license/insurance, general liability AND professional liability insurance, and a legal agreement that protects both parties. Also, expect to pay for quality. Many videographers are charging very low rates because they are inexperienced or have entry level gear.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
What is the purpose or goal for your project, what is the story you would like to tell? What do you expect the final product to look like? If you have a vision that is great, we will help you bring it to life. If you don't have a vision that is okay too, we've been in this business long enough to guide you on what works and what doesn't!
