I am very reasonably priced compared to most local videographers, and I am very upfront about my pricing, with no hidden fees or upcharges.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I prefer to have an initial meeting in person over coffee to learn about your business or organization. At that meeting we can talk about how I can help with your video needs and I will answer all of your questions about video production. I am a friendly Minnesota guy, so you won't get any high pressure sales pitches from me. :)

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have extensive training in video production, editing, graphic design, and marketing. I have an Masters Degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I have been doing video production for 10 years. Prior to working with small businesses, my video work involved creating public outreach videos for local organizations.

What types of customers have you worked with?

I have worked with a wide variety of local businesses such as yoga studios, restaurants, DJs, wedding planners, real estate agents, health providers, and many more. I have also worked with organizations and networking groups.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

I filmed a promotional video for Scott Parkin with Verve Realty in Minneapolis. We met for coffee to discuss the project, and we filmed 2 weeks later when it fit into Scott's schedule. Filming only took 3 hours, as I work very efficiently. The final video was delivered to Scott 2 weeks later.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

When selecting a video creator, I recommend watching their previously created videos with the sound on, and on a screen larger than a phone. That will make it easier to evaluate the quality of their work. I also recommend checking their turnaround times and filming times to make sure it fits within your schedule and project goals. And finally, I suggest making sure they have video marketing experience, to ensure that potential customers see your video once it is finished.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

Discuss who your target customers are, as that will influence the length and style of the video. Different age groups have different preferences when it comes to online video. Also consider having a representative from your business or organization speaking in the video, as that will greatly help customers connect with you, as opposed to simply having music and background footage.
