What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Pricing is based on what expectations the customer has. If you wish to have a discount for services, I do offer the ability to have custom packages created, which are fair to both the customer and myself.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

My typical process is to listen to the needs of the customer and also ask if they have examples to demonstrate what they would like their final product to look like. Based on the feedback, and from other questions, I am able to offer a quote which covers things such as Royalty free music, necessary permits, releases, etc..

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

My training has been acquired directly through hands-on practice, assisting in various commercial productions, as well as attending various multi-hour workshops taught by industry renown professionals in the fields of videography, photography, and post-production.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

My passion for this profession came through purchasing a drone, which enabled me to tell stories visually of the various locations, where I would travel. Shortly thereafter, I wanted to be able to tell more of the story from the ground, hence, the formation of my company Ground2Sky Media.

What types of customers have you worked with?

I have worked with various organizations such as the North Carolina Museum of History, Booking.com, Strickland Brother's 10 minute Oil Change, and various small businesses.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

Recently, I was commissioned to film and produce 3 video productions for the North Carolina Museum of History, which included a 7 minute narrative documentary on a local artisan, Neal Thomas, who makes split white oak baskets. This was presented and featured at the 20th Annual African American Cultural Celebration in January 30th, 2021.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Make sure that you inquire of the provider the entire scope of work. Get an action plan / project plan which specifically outlines your expectations of what is to be delivered.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

Customers need to determine if the vendor is committed to delivering a high level of quality of service. Does the work the vendor presents consistently reflect a quality product and more importantly, does their work and style match what the customer is seeking to have delivered?
