Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
- We are flexible and we do offer discounts on multiple projects. Our goal is to establish a long term relationship. When you work with us, you are engaging a dedicated partner.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
1. We love when a customer shares with us samples of videos/projects that they like to be produced for them. That sample will help us understand production values and esthetic that customer is going for, and it will help us to know if the customer budget is realistic. 2. Upon approval, we send a contract to the customer and requesting 30% deposit of the whole budget. 3. Then moving towards pre-production and breaking down projects to be in-line with the customer's budget and idea. 5. In post-production, we are using virtual platform where the client can see first cut of the project and make comments and request edits and approval of final video.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
Film Production at New School University New York City. 20 years of experience working on films and commercials in Europe and USA.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I got my start in the film industry back in 2000 while living in Cyprus, where I worked on films and commercials shot on 16mm and 35mm. That early, hands-on experience with celluloid ignited my passion for filmmaking. In 2001, I moved to New York to study film production at The New School University. During that time, I directed and shot my short film Room (16mm), which received the Outstanding Conceptual Piece Award in 2004. The vibrant and diverse film scene in New York inspired me to launch my own production company, Kostic Films, LLC, in 2007. Since then, I’ve produced and filmed over a thousand commercials for businesses of all sizes, as well as award-winning short and feature films that have been featured at festivals worldwide. My work has also been recognized by major publications including The New York Times, Los Angeles Times, The Hollywood Reporter, and others.

What types of customers have you worked with?

We can do full production or separate services like directing, cinematography only or video editing.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
There 3 kinds of projects that I am fond of: 1. If not directing my own films, it is to do cinematography for feature films with an engaging story and with experienced producers and directors that produced at least one feature film. 2. We specialize in Interview projects for marketing business or documentary films, where we use directing and lighting technics to achieve best results. For marketing production projects can take one day to do interview and to film a b-roll. It is all depends on size of project and production. 3. Small business printing shop in NYC, client send video example. Pre-production was two days exchanging emails and contracts. We shot on 4 locations in NYC in 8 hours and the first cut was presented to the client within 7 days of the shoot.
