Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
I am very flexible with pricing and I look to accommodate my customer needs. I am willing to work with your budget in order for both of us to be satisfied. We can only accept certain jobs on Thumbtack due to the pricing structure of the website. If you have a smaller budget, we can still work together, you will just have to reach out to us on our website.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
Blitz Studios utilizes a three part process when creating video content. It goes as follows: • Pre-Production: Develop a video strategy based on your current objective and needs • Production: Come on location to capture interviews and B-roll • Post Production: Incorporate logo animations, professional music, color corrections, and more. This is a generalized overview of our production process. The pre-production phase typically involves a face to face meeting or phone call. We discuss your needs, objectives, ideas, and creative brief for the video. Then comes the production phase, where we will come on site with our professional gear and capture all the necessary footage. Finally, the post-production phase where we chop, splice, and create the magic. We then do final rounds of edits with the client to ensure satisfaction.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I graduated Magna Cum Laude (3.802) from Baldwin Wallace University with a double major in Marketing & Film.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I have always been passionate about making films since high school. During my years in college, I became more interested in marketing and entrepreneurship, and I found a great way to combine the two. Entrepreneurship and running my own video productions company combines my strengths and passions into one. I have flexibility and freedom that I need for work/life balance and can incorporate both the creative strengths I posses as well as my sales/marketing/analytical strengths.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I work with a wide variety of customers. Some of them include Burton D. Morgan Foundation, Cleveland SHRM, SyncShow Digital Marketing, Hiring Optics, and Baldwin Wallace University. I work with these clients for corporate style projects but also love shooting weddings and events. My customers typically range from small business owners, marketing agencies, other production companies, and consumers that need video production services such as private events and weddings.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
One of my favorite projects I have done was a mini documentary I created for a non-profit in the summer of 2018. The non profit is called Kids in Flight, and they have a day where they take terminally ill and physically disabled kids into private planes and give them a flight around the Cleveland skyline. I was able to interview and play the kids for the day, as well as take flight in one of the planes. I then created a video for them to use as a fundraising and marketing tool that was a huge success.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
My advice is to find somebody that you can trust. Don't hire the cheapest person just because they have quoted the lowest. You want to find the right person for the right job. Make sure you clearly understand your goals and objectives you want out of the video, and communicate that clearly with the videographer.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
I would not worry too much about the questions you should be asking the production company as they should be the ones asking you the questions. Customers rarely know what they actually need in terms of videos/photos and it is our job to enlighten them on what their needs actually are. That is what Blitz Studios focuses on during the pre-production phase.
