Introduction

I shoot for Marketing Pros, Investment Companies, Brokers, anyone needing great images; I shoot Hotels, Shopping Centers, Offices, Product, Construction (Finished or In-Progress), Industrial. Basically ALL categories except Weddings and Residential. I have been shooting professionally since 2007 and love helping people and businesses. I understand, as a former Senior level Advertising Sales Manager and Account Manager what the images can do for you when you have great shots to work with. I also know how lesser shot's can, at a minimum, detract from your brand. I create those images that make you want to see! That's what I do. I can offer 4 levels of Shoots for you. SERVICES PACKAGES --- BASIC: is common and most competitive pricing; minimum required number of solid images shot in jpg. with Basic edit and for crop. GOOD: The same as BASIC but with added shots and shot in RAW and jpg. MY STANDARD: Good pricing with all shots in RAW with jpg, your shot list and I add my artistic view as well. I will create IMPACT IMAGES that specifically fit your Branding or at a minimum your corporate "Tone". OPEN: Specific Project Oriented with Artistic development, working intensely with ad or marketing professionals as an extension of their mindset. As-Needed. UAV (Drone): This is as needed and quoted for each site. STILLS and/or Video. Simple video edits included usually unless an exception is made (usually when someone wants a BASIC and has their own editing person). Complex edits will be at an additional hourly fee with a minimum (quoted at the time of the proposal). FAA Requires safe flying, and provides guidelines for this. I adhere to ALL FAA Guidelines/Rules. "Pictures say a 1,000 words... Great images don't have to say a thing". ...Steven Bullock, Photographer Although I am based in the Mid-West, I will travel anywhere in the country and have done so for an average of 125 times in 28 states over the past 5 years. And I have a passport if needed. I also shoot quickly and can build a team if necessary. And guess what...I am Always prepared and Always on time! I am a Certified (commonly referred to as "licensed") FAA Part 107 "Drone" Remote Pilot for 7 years. I am OSHA 10 Certified. I am insured. "A skilled photographer with a drone."

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
I don't have a standard because every shoot is different. I would like to discuss details first, then quote a fee. I won't always be the cheapest, but I am always striving to be the best. And...."Best" is worth more to all of us. I can shoot quickly and basic with high quality per specs, or when given a reasonable budget I can create magic. I travel quite a lot and sometime there are some added costs OR sometimes I can locate other gigs at "distance" shoots and able to keep my pricing within budgets. We commit a great deal of time (years) in training, money in gear (thousands) and commit our artistry to create the image that represents you in the best light. Some people think of only price. Price is important, but consider expanding your budget some to get the Best images done by the better artists.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
I like to discuss in detail what my clients need. How much input they want and I will create a plan for us to follow. Setting expectations clearly. Then we can move forward and enjoy the shoot with little stress. I also communicate each step in the process, from arriving to the completion and then delivering expectations.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I was personally mentored for over 3 years by Jerry Howell a former (1960's) NYU Photography Instructor in Still and Cinematography. I have been shooting for years but got seriously committed to it 2007.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
My father was a hobbyist photographer. I still have is 1940's FP Nikon 35MM camera. I enjoyed watching him shoot. He always seemed excited and thrilled with what he had created. Fortunately I have that same excitement. I had taken photography classes at Ball State University in 1971. Later while working with Jerry Howell, he and I found photography as a similar interest. Jerry Howell had been a NYU Photography Instructor and then a Hollywood Cinematographer. Jerry mentored me for 3 years in composition and also in problem solving. It was an incredible one to one mentoring experience.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
90% of my business is with Property Investment & Management companies, Marketing Professionals, Contractors and Architects, high-end residence owners, Professional Sports & Event Managers, event planners, corporate management, Although Architecture and Real Estate is my focus, I enjoy all types and I am good at all styles & and approaches. But! I do not do weddings! Sorry. For Headshots, Portraits for corporations, and classic boudoir with individuals. I do not post any of those images without permission.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
I shot two CVS Pharmacy sites for a Broker out of Boston and while in Florida, I went to the Keys. I found a Snorkeling company and got a paid gig there. It was fun flying my "drone" off of a catamaran out in the Gulf. Capturing the snorkeling and the light tower at the reef. I have shot more than 175 apartment complexes, several boudoir shoots, corporate head shots of business leaders and actors. I also shoot sports mostly for fun and some fees. I have shot NFL, Colts, Bengals, Vikings and NFL Games. I have over 300+ shoots for national realty companies. Hotels (Home2/Hampton Inns/ALOFT/Holiday Inns. Krispy Kreme sites (Clarksville IN and Kingsport TN), 175+ high end retail centers in, several Chipoltle's, 30+ Qdoba, and more. Qdoba, Kelly Construction, Marcus-Millichap, Regency Centers, Homeview, TCB, and many more. List available if requested. ALL of which have been projects I am fond of. :)

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
I have a $1MM & $2MM Liability Insurance policy. Certificate available upon request. Ask if other shooters have Liability Insurance. Let's first talk realistic budgets. Be straight up and provide me the budget and I will provide options and likely make recommendations to save money and or get better images. Not all shoots are the same. Anyone can buy a camera...artistry comes from within the artist and the subject. Price is not the only consideration. How quickly will the images get delivered? I shoot for regularly achieve 12-48 hrs. Scheduling flexibility? I will shoot 7 days a week. Are you paying others a cheap price for glorified "snap shots" or are you getting pro results for a realistic budget? My approach is to give you the Best Images that you are paying for...and I will always provide more than expected.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Realistic Budget, realistic budget, realistic budget. Let's work together to create the package you need and want. Then let's see how we can fit that into your budget vs. trying to fit a photo shoot into a predetermined budget. LOL. Ask for a copy of the Liability Insurance. If using a Drone; do you have an FAA Certificate (license)? Few have it. Most of the Pros will have it. I am A Pro Photographer...with A Drone as a tool. As Professionals we commit a great deal of time (years) in training, money in gear (18 thousand so far) and commit our artistry to create the image that represents you in the best light. Some people think of only price. Price is important, but consider expanding your budget some to get the Best Images done by the better artists. You usually get what you pay for, and for this one shoot...you get the point. :) I can provide names of some of my clients who will verify that they came to me after they had hired the cheapest price. I will gladly get you in contact with my references when needed. It is a lesson they have learned. It usually happens when they needed to get something in a hurry, was told do it cheaply and then was exactly what they got. Then had to hire me to fix it. Do they communicate? When? I communicate the entire process. Every step you will receive a text or email describing where I am in the process. Have they ever been late? I have never been late for the shoot and/or the delivery.
