What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Meet, talk, shoot to get to know each other. Then, if we all are comfortable, we do the actual shoot.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

18 years as an educator. Was the virtual learning coordinator for a major school district, and that involved customized video and imagery for learning. I learned to make it about the customer (student) not about me.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

Happy accident. Through my role in education as a technology specialist, I had to videography, then photography.

What types of customers have you worked with?

Corporate, family, couples, singles. You name it.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

I recently went on a 4 city tour with the USA Swimming foundation. It was a little daunting shooting Olympic medal winners, but it was very fun. In all, we toured for 2 weeks and had a blast.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Make sure it is about you, and not the photog.
