Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
Prices vary depending on the amount of hours the client needs as well as different deliverables not included in the package.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
When working with a new customer, we will have a pre-production phone call where we will discuss the various details of the day of the shoot as well as any additional deliverable needs the client may have.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I studied Film at UC Berkeley, I've written, filmed and edited over 800 pieces for TV and Web and have also been nominated for an Emmy Award.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I originally cut my teeth on documentary film in the mid 2000's.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I've worked with TV stations, large production companies, marketing agencies, mom and pop companies, real estate agents and newlyweds.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
One of my favorite projects was writing and directing a humorous TV spot for an insurance company called "Random Water Falls".

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
I would say a phone call is important. Being able to talk to your prospective videographer will let you know what kind of creative chemistry the dynamic will manifest.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
I would say, really think through what your creative vision is already. If you can already see your project from beginning to end, communicate that with your videographer. If you don't have a clear vision, also communicate that with your client so they can tell you wether or not they'll be able to fill that void.
