Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
The best way to get accurate pricing for your job is to reach out. I'm very responsive to text and email.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
Easy. We set up a quick video chat or phone call to discuss your expected deliverables. Once completed, I will create a document listing those deliverables, my expectations, and the cost. Once that's done, we will set the terms of payment. If the job fee is under 1k, it must be paid before the event. If the project is over 1k, a 50% deposit can be requested.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I have been using digital cameras for 20 years. I'm an FAA-certified drone pilot. My clients range from private citizens, to solo entrepreneurs, small businesses, and non-profits. I have been trained by a state-run organization to never miss details and focus on quality, not quantity. I continue my education through online courses.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I started 5 years ago doing video projects for local podcasters and local church events. In my previous career, I shot photography for a local evidence collection unit for 10+ years.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
My clients range from private citizens, to solo entrepreneurs, small businesses, and non-profits.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
A lovely couple contacted me here and needed photography for their upcoming wedding. They lost contact with the photographer who agreed to shoot it. We met via video chat, they described to me what they needed and the time frame for the event. We agreed on my fee for the shoot, I arrived and had an amazing time during the event. The event took 7 hours.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Be honest about your expected deliverables. If you reach out to a service provider, be available and be ready to respond. Understand that every provider is at a different place in their careers and prices will reflect that.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
-Do they know what they want at the end of the film/photo session? -Ask if they provide any other services besides the ones mentioned that will highlight the project. - Do assume that the provider uses deposits. For example, I don't offer deposits on projects under 1k.
