Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
I'm extremely competitive. I have worked in international tv for more than 20 years, but maintain extremely competitive pricing because I want to be able to work on a variety of projects.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
I'm really interested in finding out everything I can about what you are trying to highlight or promote. As a former tv reporter and corporate public relations guy, I have deep knowledge about how to cater your video to target the people you need to reach.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I went to film school, worked in the movie industry, then began working full time in television news before launching my own production company 13 years later.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I've been shooting video since junior high school. I hadn't planned on working in television as a career, but it just was a natural fit for my creativity. My first big project was interviewing celebrities for a tv show I created as a teenager.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
PBS Newshour, Travel Channel, Discovery Science Channel, Florida Tech, Space Florida, CNN, and then countless small businesses and corporations.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
I spent a week in Haiti, including a couple of days with the country's President, and produced a long form video for international tv on the challenges facing the country as United Nations troops pull out. Right after I got back, over a weekend, I produced a promotional video for a 5 time astronaut buddy who just wrote a book.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
See the samples, and review the quality of work. You will want to make sure the company has produced high end work before you consider hiring that company.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
What kind of quantifiable viewership have your previous videos received? For instance, I produced and reported in a project for former Vice President Al Gore, and that project had about 17 million views. A video I worked on for international television has been viewed almost 15 thousand times this past week. A proven track record is critical.
