What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Our pricing is job-dependent, primarily based on the time it takes to take photos and edit them back in our studio.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

At Austin Live Photography, we prefer establishing a full understanding of the task at hand up front, so that there are no last-minute fees or altered invoices. The price quoted is the price the client can expect to pay for the agreed-upon task. Period.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

We have 1500+ events (mostly weddings) worth of experience under our belt. We are familiar with being hired to make people look their best!

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I owned and operated an Entertainment business in NYC for over a decade, and hired musicians, photographers, lighting and sound engineers. Primarily a pianist by trade for much of my life, I became passionate about Photography years ago and now perform music at night and capture timeless moments during the day.

What types of customers have you worked with?

We've provided services for wedding parties, engagement couples, couple/families, real estate agencies, churches, schools...you name it!

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

We shot a wedding for a fantastic couple recently at Swoop House in Austin, TX that really took our breath away! We were there for 4 hours, start to finish. They became close friends of ours.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Look at the final product of photos that appear on the provider's site(s). The proof is in the pudding.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

Think through your realistic budget and form a list of deliverables. Do you need one great headshot to update your Acting career 8"x10"? Do you need 5-10 great family portraits to hang on your living room wall? Etc.
