What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

We make filming/editing packages that'll make it affordable for your budget but if you need us for a super small project our rates are $125/hr and $150/hr for drone.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

THE FOUR STEP PROCESS: 1. Plan for the project 2. Film interviews and/or raw footage (we call it B-roll) 3. Edit the final video (this is where the magic happens!) 4. Deliver. We'd send you a first draft (which would be a private link). Then we'd revise the video until everyone is happy.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Our team consists of a small group of videographers and master editors which have a ton of experience and we've all worked with big budget studios and on small independent projects. More than anything, we love working with people and finding the best ways to make their businesses look great and find an audience.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I (Ricky Mendoza, owner of StoryMakers) started this company in 2004 to create independent feature films that have taken us to film festivals all over the US and was a great base to start telling stories. As time passed, the need for professional videos grew exponentially in the business world and now many small/big businesses, governments and non-profits rely on us to tell their stories.

We've done work for fortune 100 companies, local, state and federal governments and many non-profits. My most recent work can be found here: storymakers.co Some of our clients include: IBM, Progressive Insurance, San Antonio International Airport, Papa John's Pizza, Valeo Fitness, Hilton Hotels, University of Texas, Texas A&M, USAA, Webber Construction, After-School All-Stars, Leukemia & Lymphoma Society among many others.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

From the planning stages to completion it would normally take 2-4 weeks to complete a medium sized project. All of our projects are a bit different and we love working as a team to achieve the goals of the company as a whole.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Whenever I partner with a professional, I look for 3 things: Are they reliable (punctuality matters)? Are they professional (in their dress and behavior)? And are they experienced (to handle any problems)? Having said this, our team is on-time, professional and highly experienced. We look forward to adding a ton of value to your project. We strive to deliver excellent, quality work and exceed expectations.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

Before contacting a video professional, it's very helpful to have a good idea for what you're looking for. Perhaps a youtube video that you can reference, a script or something that can describe the way that you envision the project to be.
