What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
3 Step Process! 1. Pre-production: Includes initial contact, discussing video ideas, script & storyboarding & reserving a shooting day. 2. Shoot the video: Whether is a 1-day shoot or a 2-week shoot, we collaborate as a team to shoot your video. The client will be encouraged to be involved in every step of the process to ensure everything is covered. 3. Post-production: 1-3 week turnaround time for the first draft. After the first draft, an unlimited amount of revisions is offered to ensure the clients vision is perfect. The final cut is then delivered to the client.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I (Michael) got started doing freelance videography for 3-4 years, then did network television where I was tasked with producing my own show and now I do this on my own with San Antonio Video Productions.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
All kinds of clients from people promoting their business to a couple looking for the perfect wedding video. The sky is the limit!

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
From Amazon to St. Mary’s University, we love being able to help our clients get the content they need. Our latest video was with the school TMI Episcopal (2nd time working with them), and we were tasked with telling the story of their rich history. That was a great experience. It took 4 hours of filming and another 4 hours for editing.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Hiring a videographer is more than finding someone to hit record. They have to be invested in your project goals, needs and wants from concept to final delivery.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
It's good to flesh out your video ideas on paper and answer some basic questions before reaching out to a video professional. 1. What kind of video are you wanting to make? 2. How long do you estimate the length of the video? 3. Do you plan on writing a script or basic outline? 4. Will the shoot day be a half-day or full-day shoot? 5. Do you have locations in mind for your video? 6. Do you have another video in mind that you want to reference or emulate?
