Introduction

Whether you want to become an impressive singer or just want to fix some nagging issue in your already professional voice, I am here to help! I work closely with my students to find out exactly what they need; then using science-based exercises and cutting-edge vocal techniques, I hone in and correct the problem areas in the voice, resulting in greatly improved singing with impressive and long-lasting results. I am a passionate vocal coach who loves teaching singing. My pricing is reasonable for my high level of expertise, and I enjoy a strong focus on effective (but not boring) lessons. My clients include many popular performing artists, various stunning up-and-coming vocalists, and leads in many local theater productions. I also teach many beginning students in the 9 to 20 year-old range and never turn down students based upon experience or level of ability. As an inspired vocal coach, I take pride in meeting my students at their level and seek to always understand their desires, vision and vocal needs. I offer the following: * Professional teaching locations in Folsom and Davis. * Lessons for all ages, levels and musical styles. * The same vocal methods used by Hollywood's greatest singers. * Premier vocal instruction from a master vocal coach. * Learn how to sing any note with power and emotion, free from strain. What are singing lessons like? Lessons are perfect for anyone, from child to adult, from absolute beginner to signed recording artists, and because every singer is different, each singing lesson is tailored to the student's specific voice with individualized exercises and lesson plans. The techniques taught make singing simple and as natural as speaking, producing an effortless, powerful and expressive voice, giving the students the tools they need to reach their full vocal potential. I use the same techniques used by Grammy award-winning artists and industry leaders to perfect their vocal ability and ensure they are at the top of their game! I love helping signers conquer difficult vocal issues and personally find great pride and joy in seeing the happiness a great singing voice brings to the student. I also find great joy in helping new singers find their own unique voice, especially showing those who think they "can't sing" that really with practice, they can sound amazing.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
As a vocal coach with 15 years experience I have trained with the best of the best in the industry and deeply studied the art as well as the science of singing, vocal expression and the voice. I have also been a Speech Level Singing Certified Instructor and an Eduction Advisory Group member for the same organization. I was a Senior Instructor and the Education Director for a large multi-location music school named Sing Inc., I’m also a current member of International Voice Teachers of Mix and National Association of Teachers of Singing. I’ve traveled from San francisco, to LA, Nashville and New York to study with the worlds top vocal coaches and learn their amazing vocal techniques. Vocal coaches include: Seth Riggs, Brett Manning, Dave Stroud, Rocio Guitard, Wendy Parr, Drew Dawson Davis, Jeffrey Skouson, Greg Enriquez, Shelly Franklin Rose, Dean Kaelin, Kyle Martin, Daniel Hayes, James Dripps, Reinhardt Krakow...

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
Back in High School I really loved singing, probably more than anyone, yet I was terrible at it. This led to taking lessons and eventually becoming a vocal coach myself after I constantly began hanging around my teachers vocal studio and them bringing me in under their wing. That teacher was Reinhardt Krakow. I was and still am deeply intrigued, moved and fascinated by the voice as an instrument and the concept of vocal instruction.
