How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
In my senior year of college I was invited to teach voice lessons as adjunct faculty. I became passionate about seeing student over come issues with their voices and be able to better navigate songs they found difficult.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I have worked with children through senior citizens. Some students come and are well on their to being professionals. Some students just want to be better. Some simply want to grow in confidence. Some have had challenging pitch issues. All have grown through knowledge and practice. I believe everyone is born to sing.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
I'm proud of the students I have seen develop their singing gift. It takes different amount of time for each person. However, it is pretty incredible to see a student have a breakthrough. My favorite is J. she has some challenges with auditory processing and dyslexia. She was not able to sing in tune when she started. But through exercises and practicing, pitch is no longer an issue and when I think of how far she's come my heart swells with joy. I am so proud of the work she put in.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

It's important to look at a persons education and experience as a vocal instructor. Many people sound great in a recording, however that doesn't mean they also have the education to impart their ability to another.
