Introduction

Hi! I offer lesson in person in my home at 30 palatine irvine! My work stands out because I am thorough and precise while also being fun and exciting in my piano and voice lessons. I incorporate pop melodies in piano while also instructing classical with the Alfred method books. For voice lessons, I instruct a litany of vocal exercises designed to improve pitch, tone, power, transitions and breaks, range, and overall quality. I offer in person lessons in my irvine home at 30 palatine. I enjoy working with other people one on one and getting to know their strengths and weaknesses. I enjoy finding problem areas and working on them until they are smoothed out. I focus on fixing the issues and finding solutions both vocal and piano students. My students all see major improvement within a few months.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Yes. I work with a top vocal teacher in Orange County and we are colleagues. We discuss latest vocal developments in voice instruction and how to incorporate them into our own lessons. I am constantly learning new vocal exercises and scales and new vocal techniques to keep lessons fresh.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I had always had an interest and a knack for helping others and have always been an excellent music student as well as an honors academic student. I felt teaching would be the best option for combining these interests. I have written and recorded my own CD of original songs and performed the songs throughout Orange County and LA, however I found that I prefer teaching to performing because I enjoy helping others and seeing results.

What types of customers have you worked with?

Beginner to intermediate in home piano lessons for ages 5 and up. In home Voice lessons age 5 and up. I drive to student's homes and simply require they have a piano or small keyboard in their home. I do have a small keyboard in my trunk just in case though! I provide music theory lessons and songwriting lessons if requested as part of the overall music lesson.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

I am proud of helping one of my students win her school talent show! Another one of my students was recently announced as a finalist in a Kidz Bop competition because of my help and training in song choice, vocal technique, and performance skills.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Personality combined with musical knowledge and professional teaching experience is key. As a performer and musician of 15 years, I have the experience and have taught music to children and adults for over five years. Adding a fun and creative flair to the lessons also keeps children interested and bubbly personalities with humor can engage a younger student. I have accomplished this by adding an element of fun to all lessons!

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

I wish they knew how much hard work and dedication it took me to get to where I am. That the amount of study and practice supercedes natural talent in many cases. Had I not been professionally trained in voice and worked hard at practicing daily, I would not have as many students as I do today and would be stuck working in an office! Ha!
