Introduction

I have been traveling and teaching abroad this last year but am now back in Miami teaching in my studio in Miami but not remotely so please live in the Miami area.. I enjoy working with singers of all ages and levels including beginners but my predominant interest is in the classical method of singing and my love of classical music and music theater which formed the basis of my own performing and teaching career and in working with singers who share that interest. Before coming to Miami, I successfully taught voice, repertoire and coached privately on the faculties of the Universidad Nacional in Bogota and the Escuela Nacional de Arte Lirica in Montevideo and privately in New York City. In teaching, I draw on my years as a professional singer in concert, opera and music theater in finding a free, easy and natural way of singing, of building technique, working on interpretation, etc. I love to teach and feel very happy in sharing my ideas and all that I've learned through the years.

I

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
We always have a short visit and talk first. Singing is such a personal thing that I feel it's very important to get to know each student's voice thoroughly, his or her musical needs and ambitions and where I can be of the most positive help in freeing and improving each voice, solving individual vocal problems and, above all, building confidence; one beautiful tone leads to many, many more. Singing should be a wonderfully liberating experience.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
