Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
I ask for the full payment at the beginning of the month. So depending on when you start, I will prorate that amount however, at the beginning of every month I do ask that you pay in full of that amount so that we can secure your spot. I offer 30 minute weekly lessons and 60 minute weekly lessons. I also will do biweekly for 60 minutes.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
To get started we will vocalize and see where you are at vocally and then from there we’ll talk about stuff that you like to sing and start working on songs that you enjoy singing as well as stuff that I may recommend to help improve your vocal technique.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I hold a Masters in Music with a concentration in vocal performance. I have been training my voice for about 16 years on top of that!

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
As someone who has been singing, since she was 12 years old, I always knew that teaching voice would be part of my career. I truly believe that the only way to improve is to also teach others how to sing. And in doing so not only do I get to help others with their voice, but I also get to meet wonderful people and help them gain confidence with an instrument that is within.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
They range! From young children to adults in their 60s! Everyone’s journey is different and I love being a part of that journey!

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Make sure they are the right fit. Make sure you like their teaching style and that you have a good connection with them. The last thing you want is to work with someone who doesn’t seem to understand who you are as a person.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Are they committed to your growth. Not just as a singer but as an individual. For me I’m all about growth and I love to help people do that as well!
