Introduction

My award-winning techniques are tested and utilized on the stage from acapella to live bands, and even alongside symphonies. My method is iron clad, not theoretical or purely academic being tested through seasons of relentless shows, sessions, and teaching schedules. It's one thing to know technique, it's another to have the experience to use it extensively on a professional level. Not only do I help my students grow as vocalists, I also help them get into the studio! My students have recorded numerous songs with engineers from cover tunes to entire original albums released on record labels. I have also landed the following awards thanks in large part due to methods: 2012 - DC Metro Theater Arts - Best Actor in a Musical (Won) 2012 - DC Metro Theater Arts - Best Musical (Won) 2012 - 98 Rock Band of the Month (Won) 2013 - Shockwave Magazine Band of the Year (Won) 2013 - DC Metro Theater Arts - Best Musical (Won) 2015 - Helen Hayes Awards - Outstanding Musical (Nominated) 2018 - Maryland Music Awards - Best Rock Act (Nominated) 2018 - Maryland Music Awards - Best Funk Act (Nominated) 2024 - Maryland Music Awards - Best Pop Act (Nominated) 2024 - Maryland Music Awards - Best Electronic Artist (Won) Performing is the passion of my life, I love sharing the fruits of my years of laboring, I was and always am hungry to learn more about the voice. I teach online and in person from my home studio in Catonsville MD

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
You can receive discounts on purchasing multiple sessions at a time.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
We have an introductory lesson where I go over core concepts we'd be working on as I teach them in future lessons, I ask them what kind of music they like doing, we work through some scales and exercises, then I give a quick evaluation of things we could improve upon.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
Two years of private training from Larry Friedman(Jesus Chris Superstar) and four years with Joy Greene(AACC Opera). I was also a professional session vocalist for Master Lab Studios recreating vocals for various remixes ranging from Michael Jackson to AC/DC note for note.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
In 2012, during my first rock opera, I was approached by one of the cast mates to teach them how to sing the way that I did. At which point I began to take on more and more clients.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I have worked with students as young as 8 and as old as 53. I teach students in theater, rock bands, pop artists, many kinds from many genres.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
One of my students, Alex Throne just released his first EP on iTunes, Amazon and all other major retailers at the age of 11 years old! I wrote the music on his released alongside engineer Matt Bittman(Imagine Dragons, Rihanna) and helped him get a jump start on his pop career. I've been working with him for about a year or so now, the EP we started working on almost a year ago.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Be sure your coach can display the techniques you wish to learn, if they can't, find one that can.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
What style they want to learn, a lot of coaches have an emphasis on classical technique which can leave a vocalist only satisfied when it comes to the style they want to actually sing. My style has elements of classical that I learned over the years through lessons that I incorporated into my style however my main focus is contemporary singing, rock, pop, theater etc.
