I would love to work with you. **In person lessons- Philadelphia only** Virtual: anywhere Lesson rates: 1h-$120 45min-$90 30min-$60 I am a professional opera singer and teaching artist with Opera Philadelphia and have been teaching voice and piano for over 15 years. I teach both classical voice and piano lessons, as well as many other styles and genres. My in-person studio is located in Fish Town, in the heart of Philadelphia, PA. I also work with students remotely all over the world. Previously, I worked for many years with the Los Angeles Opera and the Houston Grand Opera. I have taught as a Voice Professor and have 2 degrees in voice performance from Cincinnati Conservatory of Music and Rice University, with an additional 15 years of competitive piano experience. Voice students learn classic technique, musical theater technique and pop styling. We work finding each student’s authentic sound, connecting to the breath, performance techniques, connecting deeper with their emotions while singing, and how prepare for auditions and competitions for advanced students. We spend and equal amount of time developing proper technique and applying it to songs. Singers will learn to sing songs in Italian/German/French/English, as well as musical theater standards and pop songs. Piano students learn all of their major/minor scales, music theory, proper finger technique, classical songs, pop songs, memorization and performance techniques. Consistent practice habits are discussed every lesson in a safe and encouraging way to keep students progressing every week. All ages and levels are welcome, as I believe music should be apart of everyone's lives. Piano students must be at least 5yrs old. Adults at all levels are welcome! I love watching students figure out how to sing/play the piano with more ease. Both singing and playing piano are such enjoyable and invigorating activities that challenge the mind body and heart. I encourage authenticity in each of my students and help them tap into their innate creative resources. Rates: $120/1 hour $90/45min $60/30min.
