When I receive a new student, we have a short chat about musical goals and preferences. Then we set a course together. I strive to make my students feel comfortable and confident.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have extensive post- college Music Education training in several specialty fields including Orff Music for Children, Kodaly Solfeggi, and Yamaha Keyboard Music in Education training.

My students who think they don't have much talent, often end up having the most rewarding experience. It's amazing how they grow in their abilities after applying the techniques I teach. We can usually see good progress after a month or two of committed lessons and practice.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Work with an instructor who listens to you. I try not to teach a student something they already know. I choose to provide music the student enjoys.
