Introduction

The Music Tree is Richmond's premier music school in the Stony Point Shopping Center off Huguenot Road. We will offer lessons for various levels of experience in piano, guitar, voice and orchestral and band instruments as well as Music Together TM classes for infants to 5 years old. The curriculum based method, in which instructors create lesson plans individualized for each student, leads to more effective teaching and improved student achievement. It has proved to be the most successful way of teaching tomorrow's composers, performers and musicians. Our lessons and methods assure each student learns the proper technique and skills needed to take their music to levels limited only by their imagination. Always in a fun and joyful environment!

We charge $55 per hour and $27.50 per 1/2 hour for all instruments and voice.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

We have an on-line customer information sheet that lets us know the needs of the customer. Once we assign an instructor we work with each student independently to achieve their musical goals.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

All of our instructors have degrees in their instrument or are completing their degree. Some of our instructors have Post Graduate Degrees and most have degrees in musical education.
