I charge $100/hr for recording sessions and that will be prorated for however long we go. For people who can't quite budget this in but really want to work with me, I am open to negotiation, it's just that this is how I keep the studio running. I am here for the community of artists around here and want to make it work so please don't let money get in the way of reaching out to me. If you want our in house audio engineer to edit, process, mix and master your song, the price is $500 total. I will give you estimates before working on your songs so you know what to expect. Please reach out for any other pricing questions! VOICE STUDIO POLICY* Prices are $90 per each individual hour lesson, or $80 per if you pay monthly ($320 for 4). What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
First I like to talk through what it is you'd like from me and your vision for the music. Once I have a grasp of what you are looking for from your description and references if possible, I like to just set the vibe and help you feel in your element. We have lot's of options when it comes to the microphone sound, the monitoring in your headphones, to all of the lighting choices I have (I do not take lighting lightly). I think you'll find me easy-going and joyful in the studio, but serious about the quality of the work we do together. As a voice teacher and artist/vocalist myself, I am experienced with helping people shake their nerves, as I've had to deal with it first hand myself countless times as a vocalist. In the session, I'm all about feeling good and having a clear mind to get in the zone. We'll do as many takes as needed to get the main center vocal part right, and then depending on the song, we may go on to do doubles, harmonies, backups and so on to fill out the song to perfection. If any of that is new, allow me to be a guide in the process. There is always something new to learn here. Once the raw vocals are all down we can talk more about what you want stylistically when it comes to processing and effects if you choose to hire me for the rest of the process, which I love to be a part of. We'll have a fun and focused time; exploring our creativity and making something beautiful :)

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I have had at least a dozen mentors of music from instrumentalists and vocalists to producers and mixing engineers. I have taken countless online and in person courses. I have gone through phases of taking the self taught route and the apprentice path which both work well for me.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
It has run in the family and been a part of my life since childhood. I knew how to record a full song playing the instruments and doing the vocals well before I learned algebra. Making music is what I live for and learning the industry secrets has been my mission for as long as I can remember.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I have worked with conscious hip hop artists, indie folk and alt/pop/psy-rock artists, singer-songwriters and genre benders! Rappers, Singers, Screamers. All are welcome!

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
The most recent project that I am in love with is a full length called "Sellwood Station" by the artist "Wiseacre." It is a mix of genres orbiting singer-songwriter folk and pop with a bit of indie-rock, punk, 80's aesthetic, ambience and gorgeous violins. I produced and recorded the whole album's instrumentals and vocals with the help of a couple fantastic musicians. It is terrific and they are a phenomenal vocalist.
