The Elite Music Academy of the Arts offers Piano, Voice, singing, Baroque Flute, Xylophone, Musical Theatre (singing), and Music Theory lessons. Musical enrichment classes are also offered - Rhythmic Drums. Weather at online, in-studio, or at the student's home, lessons are private, one-on-one, so that you can totally benefit from your lessons. The Elite Music Academy of the Arts is now offering specials (discounted flat rate monthly tuition) for new students and would like to let you know about it! Students who register and reserve lessons this week, are eligible. Specials are offered for 30, 40, and 50 minute lessons. What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

The process of working with a new student... The student who is interested in taking lessons, should call us in order to sing up, reserve lessons, and become familiar with our process. During that call the new student should be prepared to set a starting date and time for lessons. Our first lesson, will include a comfortable, fun, and relaxed conversation with the student regarding the student's musical goals, aspirations, and interests. That will be followed by a short evaluation of the student's understanding of music (piano, voice, singing, Baroque flute, xylophone, Musical Theatre, and/or music theory). Then, the student's first lesson will take place. This is done on the first day (first lessons). For the student who is new at playing the piano, baroque flute, or at voice lessons/singing, and music, we start with the basic essentials. The objective here is to start to secure a strong foundation in a way that is simple and easy to understand. For the student who has had lessons previously, the instructor will ask the student to play or sing a piece of his/her choice, so that the instructor can observe and pinpoint the student's understanding and knowledge in piano/music flute/music, voice/singing (when taking voice lessons), and music theory, and see how the student approaches playing piano, singing, flute, or all three, depending on what the student has signed up to learn. This allows the instructor the opportunity to make recommendations and specially tailor lessons to each individual student based on the student's musical needs and goals. Lessons will be specially tailored to students of all levels, including students who have never played before. Something very important we would like to mention, is that our lessons include music theory, starting from the very first lesson. All following lessons will be interesting, effective, fun, and carefully tailored by our expert artist and instructor, specially for each specific student. Information-filled, progressive, effective, and enjoyable lessons will follow! What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Our expert instructors, besides being highly qualified and experienced artists, find great importance in keeping themselves well informed in music (updated). Our instructors often attend various yearly meetings/conventions, keep themselves informed of new musical developments, and take new relevant musical courses to learn about the latest developments in their fields.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

Our instructors either grew up in a very musical family and were introduced to music at a very early age, and decided to continue their studies until getting their M.M. OR PH.D. The fact that they had lessons with sought-after, knowledgeable, responsible, and caring piano/vocal/flute/music instructors throughout their lives, allowed them to learn how important, valuable, and enriching music is, in each person's life. Those and our music expert's love for music and teaching, inspired them to follow this beautiful, gratifying, and exciting career! Passing on their amazing musical knowledge and experience is of upmost importance!

What types of customers have you worked with?

We have worked and continue to work with students from ages 5 - Adult(young age children, teenagers, and adults). All levels of advancement ( No experience, beginner, intermediate, and advanced). We also have extensive experience working with students whose goals are to either simply learn an instrument very well, or actually become professional singers, pianists, flutists, and maestros. In addition, we have worked and continue to work with students looking to have private piano, voice, Baroque flute, and/or music theory lessons at their homes, or at our professional music studio, as part of their curriculum, and who have the goal to master their chosen instrument. Students interested in simply learning music theory. Students whose goal was/is to prepare for piano, singing, flute, and auditions and talent shows. Students whose goal was to become professional musicians. Students who where looking to learn to to play and/or sing for their own enjoyment. Beginner students who wanted to be introduced to the wonderful world of music. I use an innovated traditional method and material. The lesson material is easy to understand and promotes fast progress and learning. Advanced and intermediate students whose goals were to improve/perfect technique, music reading, and performance capabilities. Note: Our instructors strive to help students maximize their highest musical potential, and inspire them to love music and truly enjoy playing piano, baroque flute, learning music, and/or singing!

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

We recently prepared 6 more students. Three, to audition at Bak Middle School of The Arts, and three, to audition to Dreyfoos School of the Arts. We are proud to say that those students were all accepted. Preparation time: The length of time of preparation depends on the level of preparation/advancement of each individual student, at the time they sigh up. NOTE: To this date, we have taught and prepared a number of students to audition to Bak Middle School of The Arts, and to Dreyfoos School of the Arts. We are very proud to say: "They were all accepted!"

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

It would be essential to look for an experienced instructor, who is truly dedicated towards helping students reach their highest musical potential, and who understands the importance of specifically formulating lessons to each individual student, with the student's musical needs and goals in mind. That instructor should also be able to identify what material should be given for practice that would absolutely aid in the student's fast progress, always keeping in mind to make the learning material interesting. The potential student should not only look for an instructor who is experienced, but also, who offers one-on-one private lessons. Private one-on-one lessons, will require the instructor's attention to be 100% directed to one particular student - The student will have the undivided attention of a qualified and experienced instructor, which will absolutely aid in the student's steady progress.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

When ready to look for an instructor, costumers should identify what their musical goal is, and how committed they are towards taking lessons and reaching their goal. That is not only important information to the costumer, but also very valuable information to the new instructor. Next, costumers should think of a few questions that should be directed towards the instructor, for example, total years of teaching experience, how important the student's musical goal is to the instructor, and if lessons are one-on-one, private lessons. Those are very important points at our studios. Costumer's should always keep in mind that private lessons that are given in person, are not only easier for the student to understand, but also direct the instructor's full attention towards one student, and allow the teacher to successfully correct posture, hand position, etc. Finally, make sure to ask about the instructor's lesson rates.
