Introduction

Hi, I’m Ashley Capps (the “AC” in AC.Styles!), and along with my team, we’ll help you look great and feel confident about the way you present yourself to the world. We’ve created a client-first approach to the shopping and styling experience. Each project, no matter the size, starts with us listening to your style struggles, goals, and personal needs. From there, we formulate a best plan to give you the transformation you're searching for. Our Services: With our holistic approach, you'll receive personal shopping done for you, on-demand messaging with your stylist, returns or exchanges handled hassle-free, and bespoke styling—all on your schedule. Better yet, you’ll see the change happen before your eyes: whether it’s in the mirror, from your friends and family, or in the newfound confidence you’ll feel while wearing clothes that work for *you*. For our full process, visit the "Work With Us" page on our website. What sets us apart from others is our acute focus on how each client feels throughout the process. We consistently check in with you to listen to your feedback and provide best-in-class service. This attention to detail, combined with our proven systems for transforming wardrobes, gives you the security of knowing your style will always reflect the best, most dynamic version of you.

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
The initial 30 minute consultation call with us is complimentary—it's the perfect time to review your goals, struggles, and schedule so we can prepare the best game plan for your style needs.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
First, you’ll fill out a quick application outlining your preferences, budget, and schedule. We'll review this, and on our complimentary intro call determine a best course of action for getting you the style results you want. Once you've signed on to work with us, we'll guide you through every step of your style journey with our well-tested, flexible system. We say "flexible" because no two style journeys are identical, and each experience is catered to your needs, whether it's shopping, closet organizing, or putting outfits together. See our full process at the "Work With Us" page on our website!

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I (Ashley) have a degree in Fashion Retail Management from Columbia College Chicago. I've been a wardrobe stylist for 10+ years and have styled over 1k individuals! My team consists of best-in-class members from fashion tech, retail, and customer service industries.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I (Ashley) got started doing photo shoot and on-set styling after doing a costume design intensive my last year in college. I then started styling for family and friends when I was working on shoots with less creative expression. This is where I found my true calling with personal styling after I saw how I was able to impact the way people felt about themselves.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
The variety is part of what makes the job fun! We’ve worked with clients across the spectrum of size, height, skin tone, and age—because everyone deserves great style.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
One of our favorite clients is Leonard—we were so excited to take his look from “corporate CEO” to “music industry cool” for his latest nonprofit project. You can watch his full story in the Photos & Videos section of our profile!

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Check out the reviews and and anywhere they display their work visually. A lot of our work is showcased over video and photo! Also, be open minded and be willing to communicate with your stylist about what you like/don't like. Part of the process is getting introduced to new things you would't pick off the rack yourself. It may be daunting at first but embrace it and tell your stylist what works (or doesn't) for you!

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
What types of clients have the stylist worked with before? What are the results I will see? What are your core values when it comes to styling others? Style is extremely personal and you want to make sure you align with the stylist you are working with. Also, I would recommend to be as up front and honest with where you are when it comes to your wardrobe so your stylist can best service you!
