What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

While Thumbtack shows an hourly rate, my pricing is actually based on a flat fee; I anticipate about 6 hours of work for wardrobe audits and personal styling where I'm with you, and an additional 4-6 hours to complete your end of experience lookbook. Remote Styling take about 8-10 hours of work. When you break down my pricing, I know that it will be the best bang for your buck!

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Typically, we begin with a phone call or a chat discussing your personal life, work, what you like to do for fun, and budget. From there, I'll take all of your input to prepare for your experience, whether that be a wardrobe audit, personal shopping day, or remote styling. Before meeting in person, I try to put together a lookbook of inspirations to make sure we are on the same page for what you are looking for. After each experience, you receive a lookbook of the inspirations that you liked, alongside links to new items that would work well in your wardrobe and images of the best looks we compiled together during our meeting.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have a degree in Fashion Merchandising from LIM College in New York City. I have over 15 years of retail, buying, and trend forecasting experience to use to help YOU feel your best in your clothes.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I've honestly always been into fashion; I was a model as a teenager, living in New York City always surrounded by clothes. I wanted to go the route of a designer, but after my time in fashion school I decided being a buyer, the person choosing the clothes that would be worn, was the most fun way to be involved in the fashion industry. After being a retail buyer for many years, I've branched out on my own for a more flexible lifestyle, allowing me to offer personal shopping, styling, and wardrobe audits to anyone who may need me at any time. It's so wonderful to help others learn to style themselves and have them looking and feeling their best!

What types of customers have you worked with?

Everything! Tweens going back to school, college students looking to hone their style, new grads entering the workforce, career changes, new moms, weight and lifestyle changes that call for a new wardrobe...

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Make sure you find someone that either has done work to the style you are looking for, or has a wide range of versatility. You would not want to work with someone who would push their own agenda and aesthetics on you with out taking into account how YOU want to look and feel.
