Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
We offer group classes, semi-private (2-3 people) and private lessons in voice, piano, guitar, bass, dance, acting and public speaking. Tuition is charged monthly and there is a once yearly registration fee of $35.00.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
Initially the student and instructor will get to know each other the first lesson and get to know the students voice and explore musical/performance goals with the student. Based on that, we create a plan together that is fitting to each student. Whether you are preparing for college, an audition, an industry audition, or more for confidence building and/or musical therapy, we design a plan to for the needs of the student from the start.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I am a Berklee College of Music graduate! I hold a bachelors degree in Music Business. I am an Artist/Performer and have been a signed recording artist and recording for over 15 years. I have been performing for corporate events and weddings for over 15 years through numerous different entertainment companies. I am a songwriter and have shared the stage with numerous legends and greats including Earth Wind and Fire, Ray Greene, and many more! I do about 60 live concerts/shows a year all across the world! My instructors are all Berklee College of Music alumni. All have worked with industry performers such as Britney Spears etc. We truly are the “dream team”.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I have been singing and dancing since I was 3 years old. My mother began encouraging and motivating me at a very early age as she could see the stage and performing was my home.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I have worked with customers who I have helped to get into Berklee College of Music. I have also helped students attain scholarships to AMDA and New England Conservatory. I have helped students who use music for therapy purposes and build confidence for life skills and I have assisted with plugging students in with Disney and Nickelodeon. Some students use lessons for music therapy purposes or all the way to assistance for help with American Idol, college, and theatre auditions and beyond.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
The biggest project I have worked on is opening Tiffany Colston Studios. After selling my former school Musical Arts of Dover, it didn’t take me long to re-structure a program more fitting and aligned with my dream and passion. I am so passionate about what I do and how it helps others. I have developed a successful, loving, and caring environment to grow and truly find your inner performance/musical/stage peace and confidence.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
I would suggest finding someone who is the best at what they do skill/talent wise, education wise, years of experience, and passion wise. I also think it is important to know how musically connected the instructor is within the music industry for the more serious artist. For me, I don’t just teach music, dance, and acting. I am also a mentor. My master instructors are all Berklee alumni and working industry musicians.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Customers should consider whether this is short-term or longterm and affordable for them. I have also found that some customers are so happy with the outcome of their lessons that they initially thought would be short term, then became a dream and priority to them.
