What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing is straightforward and transparent. I offer a flat rate of $40/hour for styling services, with no hidden costs. While my rates are currently less competitive than industry averages, this is intentional, as 100% of the proceeds directly fund The Élève Initiative, my 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Special discounts may be available for long-term collaborations or referrals. By choosing my services, you’re not only investing in your personal style but also contributing to empowering underserved communities by providing access to professional attire and styling.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The process begins with a complimentary online styling questionnaire that helps me understand your unique style, preferences, and goals. The questionnaire covers details like your wardrobe needs, favorite colors, preferred fits, and any specific occasions or challenges you’d like to address.
Once you’ve completed the questionnaire, I’ll review your responses and schedule a one-on-one virtual consultation to discuss them in detail. During this session, we’ll refine your style goals, address any questions, and create a plan tailored to your needs.
From there, I’ll curate personalized outfit suggestions or provide guidance on building a functional wardrobe. This can include shopping recommendations, closet edits, or styling advice based on your requirements. Feedback is encouraged at every step to ensure the results align with your vision.
Throughout the process, I prioritize transparency and collaboration, ensuring you feel confident and heard at every stage.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have over 20 years of experience in the fashion industry, specializing in styling, trend forecasting, and fashion consulting. For the past 8 years, I worked in retail tech, gaining an in-depth understanding of consumers’ online shopping behaviors. I’ve worked with more than 100 clients in person and virtually, continuously expanding my knowledge through hands-on experience and industry seminars. Additionally, I’ve studied trend forecasting extensively and stay up-to-date with all current fashion trends, ensuring my clients always receive relevant and forward-thinking advice.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
My love for fashion began in my early teens, inspired by how clothing can transform confidence and self-expression. After starting in retail, I transitioned into styling and consulting, where I discovered my passion for helping people feel empowered through their wardrobe choices. Over the years, my career evolved to align with my desire to give back, culminating in the creation of The Élève Initiative.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I’ve had the privilege of working with a diverse range of clients, including professionals preparing for job interviews, individuals seeking wardrobe updates, and those looking to enhance their personal style for special events. My clients range from busy moms and teenagers to corporate executives and entrepreneurs.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
One of my favorite projects was styling a single mom returning to the workforce after several years. We collaborated to create a professional wardrobe that fit her personality and career goals. The project took about two weeks from consultation to completion, and seeing her confidence grow during the process was incredibly rewarding.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Look for someone who listens to your needs, communicates openly, and has a clear understanding of your goals. A good stylist should prioritize your preferences and create a collaborative, comfortable environment. Don’t hesitate to ask about their experience, process, and how they stay updated on industry trends.
