What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Once it has been decided that you would like to work with me, I will ask that you send me your most current resume (if available). If you don’t have a resume, I will send a client profile form requesting key details about your career. After receipt, I’ll schedule a 30-minute consultation call at your convenience.
On the call, I will ask a few questions to get a better sense of your career goals and needs for your resume. Then we will walk through your resume so I have a better understanding of your experience, strengths, skills and career highlights. As the call come to a close, I will spend some time discussing the revision process and what you should expect.
Within 2-4 days, you will receive the 1st draft. The 1st draft may contain markups (notated in red) for any follow-up questions, comments, etc. that I think may enhance your resume. During this time, we will collaborate and continue to make changes until you are 100% satisfied with the final draft of your resume.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelors in Business Administration and Masters in Human Resources Management. In addition, I have over 12 years experience in Human Resources holding titles including Talent Acquisition Specialist and HR professional for several industries including telecommunications, healthcare/home health, manufacturing, engineering and universities.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have always had a knack for writing since I was a teenager. It started as past-time hobby but as I got older and joined the workforce, countless members of my family, friends and colleagues would ask for help with rewriting their resumes/cover letters. I’ve been doing this for 10 years, so much so that it became a part-time gig because I enjoyed helping others and helping them reach their full-potential.
In 2018, I finally took a leap of faith and started to do this as my full-time career. As I started my career in the HR/recruiting industry over 10 years ago, I have more in-depth knowledge and experience on what hiring managers and recruiters are looking for. In addition, as a certified professional of Human Resources (PHR), I attend state and regional conferences and webinars providing the latest knowledge and best practices in recruiting. This coupled with my passion for helping people land a job doing what they love has been the greatest fulfill to me personally. Since more than half of each day is spent at work, it should be spent doing something you love. Let me help you get closer to what you love.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I've worked with entry, mid, senior and executive level clients in a variety of fields including education, finance, healthcare, marketing, supply chain, engineering, sales, manufacturing, law enforcement, atheletics/coaching, human resources and customer service.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I recently worked with a client who need a resume to apply for three different law schools. As most resume writers know,, resumes for academic application submissions are fairly different and require a different approach. However, I did extensive research and was excited that my client absolutely loved the results.
