What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I have been working in waterproofing and foundation repair since 1995.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
In 1995, at the young age of 17, I started my apprenticeship with a local waterproofer. Through my experience, I have gained the ability to adapt to working in any environment regarding my trade. As the times change and waterproofing technology and materials advance, I do as well.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
We are happy to work with a variety of customers from residential to store front and everything in between.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
A resident in a newly remodeled home had noticed water seepage in the cove area of their basement. Upon arrival, it was discovered that a previous contractor had dug out the basement floor with intention to increase the height of the ceiling. Without replacing the footers to support the structure of the home, it left the buildings stability unsecure. The project took only 3 days for my crew and I to complete. This job required the pouring of new steel re-enforced footers to correct the foundation, and the installation of a pressure relief system.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
When looking to hire a waterproofing company, be sure to ask about their personal experience with waterproofing/foundation repair and what sets them apart. A person doesn't necessarily need 20 plus years of experience to offer solutions that will work for your home, but having that experience can only insure they provide the best solutions, and have the knowledge, and understanding to provide the best possible outcome for your home. Beware of companies claiming to have "special or more advanced materials," there are insufficient box store materials and quality materials that are available to all. A knowledgeable, professional waterproofer will know exactly which supplies to use, where to get them, and what needs to be done.
