What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

We will schedule you an appointment with one of our Home Performance Advisors to discuss your concerns and goals with you, do a thorough inspection of your home, review their findings, provide you with an estimate and answer any questions you may have. We do not believe in high-pressure sales and allow as much or as little time as you may need to review your project and answer your questions. From there, it is completely up to the homeowner if they would like to move forward with the work.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Our Team has a wide range of certifications and experience in the construction and home performance industry that contributes to their expertise in the field. As authorized dealers, all of our Home Performance Advisors are trained at the Dr. Energy Saver and Basement Systems facilities in Seymour, CT. They are educated on the latest best practices in building science and home performance solutions so that they can provide homeowners with long-term solutions to their concerns.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

The Drying Co. Has been serving the Greater Richmond and Virginia Peninsula communities since 2002. We began as an emergency water restoration company, and have since grown and evolved to offer homeowners long-term moisture control, waterproofing, and insulation solutions for their homes. We specialize in Attic Air Sealing & Insulation, Basement Waterproofing, Crawl Space Insulation & Encapsulation, AeroSeal Duct Sealing, and Whole Home Insulation.

What types of customers have you worked with?

We work with homeowners, businesses, schools, hospitals, and general contractors.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

We start every inspection and estimate by asking the customer what their concerns are and what they are trying to achieve. We think this is one of the most important questions we can ask because when we understand what the homeowner is trying to achieve we can look for the cause of their concern(s) and work together to develop a long-term solution that is right for them and their home.
