Hello and Good Day! I am a personal and private chef and owner of Salt & Stone Catering + Design, a full service, detail oriented catering company. I have been cooking professionally in one capacity or another for 20 years. With a love for food, art, aesthetics, detail, flavor and a passion for service, I always strive to make sure you and your guests are well-fed, impressed, comfortable and happy. I am based out of the Los Gatos Mountains but travel the greater Bay Area, South Bay, Peninsula, SF, Marin, Carmel and beyond. Cooking style: I am a vibrant flavor forward chef with a love of fresh herbs, spices and depth. I love fresh/citrus/exciting. I dabble in most cuisines with my specialities being Mediterranean, fresh Italian, French, American/fusion, Asian fusion and Latin/Mexican. I like experimenting with flavor combinations while also having a love for tradition. Equally as comfortable with comfort foods or simple and healthy. I am well versed in most dietary restrictions, allergies, preferences etc and am happy to make substitutions. Catering and Events: From 4 person 8 course dinner parties to 150 person cocktail & appetizers or 200 person formal weddings, and everything in between, I love doing events. I know the importance of the meal and instead of taking on as many events as possible, I like to put the right amount of attention to detail into each one for the most exceptional experience. I offer sample menus to choose from or voice to your specific desires and restrictions. Ultimately, all menus are curated for the individual. I offer wine and cocktail pairing and event styling as well. I locally source the best quality ingredients and really aim for a 'wow' factor. This is especially fun for anniversaries, birthdays, weddings and other events. I offer three sit down packages; 3-4 course dinner, 4-5 with appetizers or 7+ course tasting menu dinners. Also available for event appetizer/meals, family style and tapas Weekly in-home chef service: Sick of cooking and ordering out? I have a limited number of days I do in-Home chef work. We work on goals & menu preferences then on your day, I do the shopping and come prepare meals to be eaten throughout the wee. Nutrition based meal prep service (contracts only not available for full time chef service): Specific dietary macros needed? I've got you. I have worked with UFC, NBA, MLB and NFL athletes to help them reach their nutrition and fitness goals in the most delicious way possible. Aviation/Charter Catering Service: For private jet or yacht service. The best quality meals with an emphasis on detail with easily transported, heated and served meals. *COVID/illness note- Myself and my staff are all vaccinated, take health precautions, are all food handlers or food management certified and are committed to the health of our guests. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Pricing is done on a per person basis with a $1000 minimum all in for all events. The price per person ranges drastically based on guest amount, meal and location. I offer competitive rates for the area :) The price per person is the base and then taxes, rentals, alcohol and fees are separate. I like to come at each event from an extremely personal and detail oriented way. I choose to take on less events and perfect them. I take pride in using the highest quality ingredients and ethically/locally source.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I like to arrange an initial consultation call to discuss details and then from there we can do an intake form and menu discussion via email. I do have a number of seasonal menus on my website to look at!

How did you get started doing this type of work?

Approaching 20 years of professional chef work I started with passion for flavor, nutrition and desire to create food as art. After short order chef work I apprenticed with a celebrity chef in LA for two years as I built my repertoire and expanded skills. The rest is personal chef history.
